Financial and Engineering - A complicated Mix

Below is a position I have been recruiting for a long time. I can not find, in the whole of the US a financial consultant with an engineering background. It is obvious I am looking i the wrong place. can anyone advise where I shoule look? the description is below:

Position:  Territory Manager  (Financial Partners Department)


General Characteristics:
Tasked with obtaining equity investors as well as establishing long term customer relationships.  Proactively search for funding for a project in renewable energy (solar power), bio-energy, biomass, cogeneration and other traditional industrial markets (steel, chemical, and mining).


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Capture equity investor in order to finance EPC projects.
  • Equity investors acquisition will include identifying, qualifying, and prospecting for new clients via calls, marketing, and networking, developing client needs and business requirements, strategic account management, and communicating our company to market and potential equity investors.
  • Develop necessary and valuable partnerships with other companies, organizations, and associations.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with existing equity investors to secure new equity investors.
  • Develop a reliable network of equity investors and partners.
  • Participate in complex EPC contracts (Project Finance) under the coordination with Corporate Department.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Finance.
  • Experience in Industrial Engineering with hands on experience in business development and/or financial services sales. Candidate with experience in other similar businesses will be considered.
  • Know the project finance model.
  • Entrepreneurial by nature, self-sufficient but a great team player as well.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Superior presentation skills and an articulate speaker.
  • Spanish will be a plus.
