Recent Stats on SEO in Recruitment

The following are quite revealing statistics from Enhance Media, our SEO consultants at work:

  • Search engines are used by 63% of candidates in their job seeking
  • 33% of all recruitment traffic comes from search engines
  • Candidates arriving via a search engine are up to 9 times more likely to apply for a role

    I find this very interesting - I run several medium volume job boards and I can tell you that candidates arriving by search engine are certainly not 9 times more likely to apply for a role on my sites compared to the majority of my other traffic sources. I would be interested to hear your opinion on whether your traffic coming from search engines is that much more likely to apply.

    On the other hand, it could be 9x more likely than traffic coming from irrelevant sites...
